Residential Roofing
Roofing Solutions Built
for Texas Homes.
Your roof is the single largest protective system on your property, and the one you look at least. We treat it as a system, because that is what it is.
Everything above your ceiling
A residential roof is seven interdependent layers, and the weakest one sets the performance of the whole assembly. A premium shingle over failed decking is a premium shingle over failed decking.
- Roof deck — the structural foundation of the roofing system.
- Leak protection — additional protection around vulnerable areas.
- Synthetic underlayment — secondary moisture protection beneath the shingles.
- Starter shingles — critical protection along roof edges.
- Architectural shingles — premium protection designed for durability and curb appeal.
- Ridge ventilation — helps regulate heat and moisture inside the attic.
- Ridge caps — finishing protection along roof peaks.
Ventilation deserves its own paragraph
It is the most consequential and least discussed part of a Texas roof. Attic temperatures here regularly exceed 130°F. Without balanced intake at the eaves and exhaust at the ridge, that heat cooks the underside of the decking and the shingles above it, and it drives your cooling load up at the same time. Correcting ventilation during a replacement costs comparatively little. Correcting it afterwards means going back into a roof you just paid for.

Common Questions
Straight Answers.
The honest answer is that it depends on what an inspection finds: the extent of the damage, the age and condition of the shingles, and whether the deck underneath is sound. Anyone who answers that question before going up on the roof is guessing.
A correctly ventilated roof assembly usually reduces attic temperature meaningfully, which reduces cooling load. How much that shows up on your bill depends on your insulation, your ductwork and your home. We will not put a percentage on it, because an honest one does not exist without knowing your house.
Yes. Property protection before tear-off and a magnetic nail sweep afterwards are part of every project.
Cracked pipe boots and inadequate attic ventilation, by a wide margin. Neither is dramatic. Both cost homeowners real money over time.
