Insurance Claim Support
Clear Documentation.
No Overpromising.
Here is exactly what we do and do not do when a roofing claim is involved. We would rather set that out plainly than let you find out later.
What we do
- Inspect the roof thoroughly and photograph every condition we identify, with locations recorded.
- Provide you with that documentation, in a form you can share with your carrier.
- Explain in plain language what each condition means for the roof.
- Explain how the roofing restoration process typically works, so the sequence is not a mystery.
- Meet the carrier’s adjuster on site, if you ask us to, to show them what we found.
- Provide a clear written scope of work for the roofing repair or replacement.
What we do not do
This part matters, and a lot of roofing companies are vague about it.
- We do not act as a public insurance adjuster. In Texas, adjusting or negotiating a claim on a policyholder’s behalf requires a public adjuster license. We are roofers.
- We do not negotiate your claim with your carrier or advise you on your policy.
- We do not promise that a claim will be approved, or predict what a carrier will pay. Nobody can honestly do that.
- We do not offer to absorb, waive or discount your deductible. In Texas that practice is prohibited, and any contractor who offers it is telling you something important about how they operate.
Why the distinction matters to you
A roofer who guarantees claim approval is either misunderstanding the process or misrepresenting it. Either way, the guarantee is worthless — the carrier makes the coverage decision, based on their adjuster's findings and your policy. What genuinely helps your position is thorough, dated, well-organized documentation of the roof's actual condition. That is what we can control, and it is what we do.
Practical notes
Policies often have a deadline for filing after a date of loss, so an early inspection is worth more than a late one. Keep your own copies of everything. And if you are unsure about your policy terms, your carrier or an independent licensed public adjuster — not your roofer — is the right person to ask.
Common Questions
Straight Answers.
No, and neither can any other roofing company. Your carrier determines coverage. What we can do is document the roof’s condition thoroughly and professionally so that the decision is made on complete information.
Yes, if you would like us to. We will show them what we found and answer technical questions about the roof. The coverage decision remains theirs.
No. Texas law prohibits contractors from paying, waiving, rebating or absorbing an insurance deductible. If a contractor offers to, treat that as a serious warning sign about everything else they tell you.
You still have a roof that may need work, and you still have our inspection documentation. We can talk through repair or replacement options and what makes sense to do. Questions about disputing a denial are for your carrier, the Texas Department of Insurance, or a licensed public adjuster.
